Discussion: Frontier Adventure Challenge?

Just curious if anyone has heard any updates for the Frontier Adventure Challenges. I know there were a few posts about a possible Winter AR but haven't heard anything for a few months so assuming that is out. Now just wondering if Geoff has released any info on their Spring event.

Several dates were put forward for the Winter AR. The latest one on their Facebook page is Feb. 25 and includes a request for ideas on suitable locations.

Confirmed winter AR events in Ontario include:

Dontgetlost.ca Snowshoe Raid - Jan. 22, Blue Mountain, ON

Stars Winter Adventure Race - Feb. 12, Mansfield, ON

Although it's not in Ontario, the 2-day CNYO Snowgaine in New York on March 11-12 is always a blast at a reasonable price.

There are also some great winter events in Ottawa and around the province of Quebec.

Thanks for the response. Will definitely be in Blue in a few weeks for the Snowshoe Raid and considering the Stars Winter A.R. I will check out the Snowgaine details. Just trying to figure out the spring schedule so wondered if FAC had made any plans yet.

The Star Winter Adventure Race (ski/snowshoe) in Mansfield, Ontario has been tentatively rescheduled to Feb. 26.

Frontier Adventure Racing sent out an e-newsletter today promoting their upcoming events but with no mention of the winter race so apparently it has been cancelled.

They updated the FB Calendar yesterday with a note that they will not be holding a Winter event this year but they will try again in Feb 2013.

They did send out confirmation that FAC - Huntsville will take place on May 5th up at Deerhurst.

FYI - FAC is offering 15% off for the first 15 teams to register for their race in Huntsville in May. Registration opened at noon today and there were two spots left to take advantage of the discount as of 1 pm.
