I have an old K1 that I'm looking to get rid of. If anyone wants a kayak to do some training in let me know. Just needs a seat.

i would love to have it!!!!!!! i am extremely keen, is this the ones that are used in multi sport races? because then i can get used to the balancing thing

It is approx 5m long. It is a K1 which is a flatwater racing boat (like the kayaks ben fouhey paddles, except a lot older).
Jan, you could use it for a multisport race if the paddling was flatwater, ie without any rapids.

Will have to sort out amongst you two who wants it the most, or who would use it the most. Perhaps you could share it?

Jan if you want our family are members of arawa club at kerrs reach (which is open again) and have access to racing boats so if you wanted we could go and do some practice :)

Sounds like a good solution. I'm sure Caitin or Sharnee could arrange to bring it into school if you wanted to use it sometime Jan. And you should definitely go paddling with Josh at Arawa, would be good practice. They have just started doing Wednesday night beginner sessions again.
