It was really just one point, right before I made a biggish mistake, coming onto the yellow bendy trail, you ran from my right to my left and then turned sharply onto the trail... head up and a bit of prescience and you'd have gone straighter - saving 1-2s, but that adds up at WOC.
Stuff to think about but not to worry about. I was teasing ;)
Ah yep, I was definitely slightly confused right there, hadn't found the similar shaped little trail just N of the bendy yellow one that had been the plan... and I'm sure the top women would have gained a minute or so on me even in the second part, good to think of where to try to get the seconds!!
Do you read down the control descriptions before you start? Can be very helpful in hinting at any potential problem controls - man-made linear and area features should stand out potentially as tricky, especially as they're unusual in an area like this. Can help tell you when you really need to be on your guard out on the course!
I kinda did, but not too attentively. So, walls, buildings, paved areas, fences, and especially note if inside/outside corner!!
