Have the US airlines started charging you per pair of skis like the winners at Air Canada are enforcing?

Yeah, next it's per ski.

Just for Greg, they'll start charging per cm.

That was on American.

I always check the website of whatever company I'm about to fly with for their baggage restrictions, BEFORE buying =).

That had been from Boston. I should probably check Hartford. I'll do it after A-meet is done.

Does Southwest carry your skiis for free as your second bag?

Air Canada suddenly decided to change their policy to charging per pair of skis and a bunch of elite skiers got major bills at the airport on the way to races. (My old roommate once took at least 14 pairs to a set of races, which is just silly). The fact that Air Canada is a sponsor of the Olympic team is highly ironic.

No, you totally need to take that many skis to races if you don't know what the conditions will be and you have skate and classic! C'mon- different grinds, flexes... Think I normally travelled with 12...

But agree, sounds like a good post-SML activity!
