Yes, I believe it was on most of the courses. It was okay for the advanced courses but a struggle for Brown, and Yellow. On Blue and at least Green, an option had been planned to take the long way around with no climb to #3. However, the water was too high for that--it was lower the week before. People attempting that route lost time then had to climb right back up like the rest of us.
It looks like you had a decent time in your hilly 5 mile trail race that day. I guess you're doing better on hills this year. You've had some pretty good training all summer. We missed you at Hemlock Overlook.
With some job changes recently, I'm struggling to find the time to train as I had expected to do in October (just about my favorite month for running). I may be able to turn the corner on the workload once past the end of October when a lot of things are due and I'm more past some start-up activities.
