Ironically it was a conversation with my postdoc, HuiJuan, where she was extolling the virtues of stretching and I was thinking that I probably should stretch more. No pole dancing for me... also the residual knot in my calf stuck around all day long.
Isn't it amazing how you can be lying down in the bed or on a sofa, and just casually stretch your legs out longer and think how good it feels, and then---ZAP!---a killer calf cramp attacks out of nowhere, a complete exchange of bliss for tormenting pain!
