on the 5th placing and your 4 consistent runs. Add that to your relay success and you've had a pretty good start to the season :)

Thanks Steve. It's been fun.

I hope you do decide to keep orienteering seriously. You sound like you're understanding how to put the running and navigation together better than ever before. Shame to stop now.

True, but it's hard to see the motivation levels staying high if I can never make it to any events (Penny didn't sound very interested in 2 weeks of travelling between Wangaratta, Wagga and Cooma as a family holiday. I love the way they call it 'centrally located to ACT, Vic and NSW' when they really mean 'the events are really spread out and not close to anywhere that's easy to get to.' Logistics just look plain nasty.)

Haha...yeah, they gloss over the point where the mid-point of a triangle between Sydney, Melbourne and Canberra is the middle of nowhere. That would normally automatically make me say "hell no", except I saw this note on Bruce Arthur's log and now I'm all tempted.

Yeah - I saw that. Dunno how that makes me feel...

I know what you mean about the Aus Champs carnival- it isn't looking attractive to us due to the travel obstacles and you know how die-hard we are! Quite likely if we do go we'll only go for the Aus Champs weekend.

Easter next year in Queensland (at Stanthorpe in runnable granite country) looks very fun and we're planning some days over on the gold coast visiting some theme parks between Easter and the following weekend (in Brisbane).

Juffy's becoming addicted!

That sounds better... will start working early on the holiday plans...
