This particular weasel phrase has no place in a sentence whose content already implies a future tense.
"I think our profit forecasts will be more accurate moving forward."
Do you mean in the future? Or is it that the forecast is more accurate when it is actually physically moving forward? ARRGHHH!
At the end of the day it's reinventing the wheel of the bottom line. We should touch base and put this issue to bed.
Ultimately (at the end of the day) it's duplicating work already done (reinventing the wheel) to calculate the final result (the bottom line). We should talk (touch base) and resolve this (put this issue to bed).
