Discussion: That group is falling apart!

I could stand the fact that only a few people work up front, that it splits through the hills and that they start late. But now with red lights and the rest of it.....

Want to do your own thing? Maybe a 5:30am start in summer. You'll have BB, me and you! That will be equal to the number of people that actually get up front and do any work anyway.

I might even be in for that over summer (maybe... if I ever ride a bike again)

Timmsey too probably, Karlos on occasion. 530am would be heaps better for me from the perspectives of traffic-avoidance, knob cyclist avoidance, more sustained pace (proper roll-throughs, I'm getting excited already :-) and less rush to try and get to work. We could use the marginally longer 'fast group' route for some nice pace riding and no Oceanic / WC Hwy traffic lights.

We can have a sponge competition. Whoever sucks the most wheels in week X, has to do the lead outs in week X+1.

Or, meet 5 minutes before/after 6ish and try to outrun/ catch-up to the group. Imagine the motivation to work as a group when you are being hunted or you see that target up ahead :-)

Ok, I propose 5:45am kick-off at the usual spot, Boltboi's suggestion. For starters we'll have the 3 of us plus Jake. We hopefully we can get a regular half dozen happening.
