Thanks for a top event. Race announcing, spectator controls and radio splits, glorious late summer weather, pretty and fast woods, great orienteering!
Double gold medals for Ali Crocker and Eric Kemp today at GLOF.

Yep, so far so awesome over here!
is there a story behind biggins' awesome finish split?
is there a story behind biggins' awesome finish split?
Oh, crap! That was supposed to be 20 seconds, not 20 minutes! Can you fix that in AP for me?
fixed. I was really hoping for a better story than that.
Thank you!
Well, any better story is left to others to tell. ;)
Wow--looks like really nice stuff.
GLOF 10.10.10 long distance was a tough hot and hilly day with Ali Crocker (CSU) taking her third gold in three races in the women's elite. Patrick Saile (GVOC) won the men's elite course just ahead of club mate Magnus Johansson. Full results and elite maps are now uploaded at the link below.

A special thank you to Valerie Meyer for running our SI timing and results.
Looks like a nice long course.
Route Gadget is now online (same link as above) and I hope it is working properly.
The mens and women's elite sprint courses were very similar. Only three CP's were different and they were not that far apart. Ali Crocker would have been in 6th place.
Also the first 4 CP's in the long were very similar for men's and women's elite. Again Ali was among the top 6 or 7 elite men after 4 controls (a half hour or racing).
GLOF 2010 finished today with a mass start race in the eastern end of the Sulphur springs map of the Dundas Valley. Here the ravines are deeper and steeper but the head-to-head racing made for some fast times with Ali Crocker taking her 4th win in as many races and Jon Torrance outlasting Robbie Anderson and Magnus Johansson. Results and winsplits are now online. Once again a special thank you to Valerie Meyer for managing the SI for the weekend.
