A few of us in NS / NB are considering a 24 hour MTB race next year. We know about Chico's races and the one in Great Glen. Anyone know of any others in the ON, PQ or New England area?
Google searches aren't very successful on this one!
This one is low key but the trails are top knotch.
That does seem low key, but that's not necessarily a bad thing! Nice that it's been running for six years too.
Good trails eh? I'll pass this one on to the gang for sure.
I actually did find this one with google, but work's porn-protector didn't like the web address!
there's also lifestyles of the rich and famous...also fairly low key.

also, there was at one point in time a 24hrmtb race in Sherbrooke, QC but I can't find info on it but there might be some at this site.

This one goes to 11... I think I remember finding that one the year I did the Solstice!
Unfortunately Mike (Wizards Of Wheels MTB) is not organizing races anymore. So Lifestyles is now over for good :( Too bad, was a great race!
Damn... that one was looking good.
This site
http://www.ride424.com/calendar.php used to be a really good calender; doesn't look like its been updated for 2010, but the links to specific races might still give you some leads.
What a resource Ryan! Thanks! Even without the update for '10 or '11, that's got a load of races that will surely happen in '11.
No worries. Definitly interested on what you decide. My feeling is that the relay mountain bike races is a pretty strong market these days. As a bonus, check out the film at
http://24-solo.com/ ... this will provide all the motivation for long winter months on the trainer (or couch!).
It's my favorite trainer material. Every time I watch it I can't help but yell at Eatough's crew when Gordon slips by. "LOOK BEHIND YOU!" Then I cry when Chris' wife hugs him after the race.
I got in touch with Eatough last year about a few things. He's a really nice guy!
Oh yeah, we all cried. Although it was *nothing* compared to when we watched the award winning "The Race Across America: Bicycle Dreams".
Our friend Crash was in a tough 100-mile MTB race with Chris Eatough on Labour Day weekend. I think she said he placed around 6th.
Might have to pick that one up. Thanks for the tip!
24 Solo is the better trainer film. Bicycle Dreams isn't one that I could watch over and over. But it sure made us sniffle!
