Have you had any issues with the Garmin since you've been back? Maybe it needs a software update or something to 'reset' it?

Patrick, I did finally think of updating the software, which I did yesterday. But for the last two months, it freezes up every time I try to start it, and I have to reset it. So, I think the battery is the main problem. I have submitted a request to Garmin repair.

Is yours still under warranty?

I got mine at REI, and I had wrist-strap issues out-of-warranty, but REI replaced it at no charge. It was great!

On another note, I wish that Garmin Connect had an "orienteering" option available. I submitted that request two years ago...

Yes, or at least an "other" where we could enter our own thing. I hate the preprogrammed choices.

Not under warranty, and I bought it online from a small bike shop. On the other hand, I can hand deliver it to Garmin for repair on my lunch hour.
