My computer is 100% fixed and everything that I had on it before my problems has been restored, including my emails and email addresses. So I'm back on track and up and running for Junior buiness as usual. It is never a good idea for a computer geek to give directions over the phone to a non-computer geek on how to do something. I finally just unplugged the tower and took it back to the geek and in less than 10 minutes he had everything restored and imported into their proper places. I should just had done this 2 nights ago and been done with it all but NOOOOOOO I wanted to do it myself. A dump idea.

Thanks to all that sent me email addresses, at least I can check to make sure that I have the proper email for you.

Along these lines, does anyone have any experience (good, bad or otherwise) with Carbonite or other online backup services?

I am using Apple's Timemachine with the wireless connection to Time Capsule. Every 30 minutes the back up is updated. Plus I burn DVD as a safety to store outside the house.

External hard drives are very cheap these days. I have one and back up every month or so, plus whenever I add very important data or lots of it. It is also small and easy to grab if you need to evacuate the house.
