how come giant maps were posted on display ? (picture 18...)
For people to draw in their routes, with the markers that were also provided.
the giant maps were very cool. That's what I'd like next time I run there.
Susie, love your pictures, and this is not directed at your effort at all. But you know what I'd really like to drool over? Photos progressing through one of the courses, or at least photos of the terrain. I know it would be a sacrifice for someone to do this, but it sure would be sweet and do a lot to lure me to the venue at some future date.
I think that's a really good idea. I'll see if I can carve out time to head up there on a sunny day before the snows come.
It's not that much of a sacrifice -- It's a great excuse for a walk in the woods!
here's another link with pics in case you wanted to see what the forest looked like.

So, Kevin, that looks like control 102 which was Brown #9 and Red #15 on Day 1?
I saw a photographer there (Brown 9); it was on the green course too, I think.
Valerie, it is 102 on brown and red, second to last control on day 1.
