Planning started long ago for upgrading the web presence. Keyword: planning. Action? Trying to make progress has been my biggest frustration with USOF. The last time someone asked me if I was still involved with the web modernization issue I used a very dirty word in response (plus the word 'no'). In fact, I'm getting angry just thinking about it.
You would think that with all of the computer brain power that orienteering seems to attract, we could find one person talented enough to redesign the website. Janet does a great job, but it needs a total overhaul. I know nothing about HTML, but I would be willing to help with organizing the content and helping to design a user-friendly site.
If only it were that simple.
See, I told you I don't know anything about computer programming!
Oh, no, you're right that it should be that easy.
You can't drop comments like that without more detail. If you don't want to give more detail, don't start a teaser like that...
Okay, I take it all back. We're on it. New site is on its way. Hold on to your seats.
Damn straight. On it. It's on. On, it is. Is it on? Yes, like donkey kong.
I was waiting for an "on on".
You think? (directed at PG's original post.)
Niin on! (Finnish for "it certainly is!" Because yes, I am learning Finnish so I can read Finns' orienteering blogs.)
I should note that my frustrations were many, and not with any one particular person.
