Hey HVO, are you posting the splits online, or shall we enter manually?
Great pictures, Alexis. Thanks very much.
I checked which formats work for AP and send them to Alan. See that he can produce the file. We intend to sort out people who passed other runners after the go control, too.
I don't want to ask too much... but is Route Gadget a possibility? Seems made for the Highlander if you can work out a way of handling the multiple maps.
Would be much appreciated if it's possible.
Also, are old results available? They used to be linked from here:
http://billygoat.org/historicalresults.html but the links appear broken.
Detailed results, I can't say, and I don't know what's on line, but I have all of the finishing times and places in a spreadsheet. I probably have all of the detailed results on paper in my filing cabinet, but I'd have to dig through it to check.
Is anything prior to last year online?
I found
2006 and
2007, so I think everything is accounted for except 2005.
Thanks, and not to be obtuse, but I still can't find the results.
Doh! I didn't click on the results links from those pages, and didn't realize they were broken at that level.
HVO used to have a separate Highlander page on their website, but now I can't find it. I wonder where it went...
We switched to a new web site in 2005. The Highlander web page became obsolete. I have to find the old files, hopefully our web master backed them up.
Routegadget: I need to figure how to do it.
ken>>I accidentally claimed Kat's splits for the Lowlander. Can you please fix it? Thanks!
Only one set of splits for you Boris!
I enjoyed the pictures Alexis! It was quite nice to have pictures of the control sites to improve my mental image of the features on the maps and amazing that you carried the camera the whole time out. Thanks!
I'll second the congrats to sherpes on the pictures, and the communal contribution of lugging a camera around for everyone's benefit. I particularly benefited (pictorially) from running much of the first loop with you. Sorry there wasn't time for better introductions. Something about pictures, though. When I showed them to my wife, she said something like "that doesn't look as hard as you said it was..." What is it about pictures that makes everything look less rocky and less steep than I remember?
I lost Alexei's 2003 Highlander results database when we had to move to a new server in late 2008, but my copy of the 2003 results is
here.
yo Fredder, I added a few more pictures that I forgot to upload, including one of you at control 2 after the King of the Mountain slope, and another taken from the side of that slope, showing the gradient of the climb. Hopefully the wife will recognize you weren't having a picnic at the beach.
