Can you recommend any inexpensive but decent public courses around Boston?

Other than George Wright--where they are holding an outing on Friday.

Haven't a clue. It think the only course I ever played inside Rt. 128 was The Country Club (played there most Tuesday and Thursday mornings the spring of my freshman year at college), and it is definitely not public.

I've played at Ponkapoag, not quite inside Rte 128, but certainly convenient to the Blue Hills. Nice old course, not in great repair, inexpensive.
