Preview maps are now available on-line as well.

If you pay by PayPal do you really need to mail the waiver?

Also, on the registration form, the sprint relay is listed as being on Friday. This is a typo, right (since every other piece of information has referred to Saturday for that)?

No problem signing the waiver at packet pickup if you pay with PayPal.

Sprint Relay is Saturday afternoon. I will get that corrected on the registration form. Thanks for letting me know.

We are bringing Nysse's mother. She and Rhonda would like to run together. Can they sign up as a group? Two maps, but one entry?

vmeyer:
Groups are allowed on White, Yellow, and Orange for the A-meet.
I have seen clubs require that each member of the group register individually, and I have seen it where they are registered as a single entrant with one map and one epunch downloaded.

Let me check on this for you.

Groups are also welcome on the recreational courses which are White and Yellow.

Since White and Yellow recreational courses are available, I suggest groups register race day for a recreational White or Yellow course at the lower recreational course rate.

If you want to run as Group Orange, you will need to pay the A-meet rate, plus an additional fee for any additional maps. Please contact me via email if you want to make arrangements to run as Group Orange (or Group White or Group Yellow as part of the A-meet).

A-meet registrations have topped 100.

Reminder - February is a short month, and the rates go up on March 3.

Intercollegiate eligible competitors running in an Intercollegiate class will be charged the amount of a Junior competitor regardless of age. That is half the adult rate.

Just a reminder that the early, less expensive registration period ends at midnight on Monday, March 2. That means that I need to have a payment through PayPal (no additional charge to use your credit card) or an envelope postmarked on or before March 2, or you will be charged the next higher fee.

Early registration deadline is just 3 hours away (midnight tonight). Register online with paypal. Price goes up by 8 bucks a day after midnight. Now would be a good time... :)

270 registrants already! I'm impressed!

One hour to go. Register now and save a bundle!

Valerie Meyer, the registrar, just informed me that the early registration period has been extended by one day.
Mar 3, 2009 4:28 PM #
vmeyer:
Registrations have topped 310.

Yes, sherpes is correct. Today is a snow makeup day, or whatever you want to call it.

Reminder, going on-line and entering your information still requires payment to be made on-line or by check (postmarked today in order to hold the lower rate).

Interesting that only about 130 of the 313 registrants so far are interested in the Friday sprints (and many of those 130 want to run only one of them). I will resist drawing any conclusions.

Regarding the Sprints, I saw no benefit of registering now, since the price does not seem to go up, and we didn't have time to think about when we are arriving (or if Nate wants to do a Sprint relay in between two sanctioned races).

So, how long before the event would one have to register for Sprints to be guaranteed a map (i.e. not subject to the day-of "while supplies last" registration option)?

... which brings the topic to those that didn't sign up for the relay because they don't have a team. If someone out there reading this, and needs a team member, let me know...

I'd love to do the sprints but can't because of Friday classes. It's likely that others have to work/go to school on Friday also and so it makes sense that registrations would be lower on that day.

I'll say that if you let me know by Monday, March 23, you will be guaranteed a Sprint map.

The sprints are not A-meet races. It makes not much sense to run two unimportant races the Friday before a weekend of ranking races. (This especially holds true for an old guy.)
