THE ELEVENTH ANNUAL SUSQUEHANNA STUMBLE
Kings Gap Environmental Education Center, Carlisle, PA

The Susquehanna Stumble is a Billygoat-inspired event with a couple of twists. The competitors run between numbered windows in sequential order, but within each window there are several controls which can be visited in ANY order.

WHERE: Kings Gap Environmental Education Center, Carlisle, PA

WHEN: Mass start at 12:00, Saturday, November 1, 2008

WHAT: The Long-Stumble event will be ~15 km in length, with
commemorative towel for the first 20 finishers and the first 5 female finishers.

The Short-Stumble will be ~7 km with commemorative towels for the first 10 finishers and first 3 female finishers.

The course setter and meet director is Brad Whitmore.

White and yellow recreational courses will also be available in the form of the exiting "trim courses" and a special orange recreational course (with several shared controls with the stumble) will also be available. Starts for the recretational courses will be any time between 12 and 2 (no preregistration needed).

COST: $ 18 for the Long-Stumble, $ 12 for the Short-Stumble, normal SVO fees($4 for members, $ 6 for non members) for recreational courses). TO REGISTER SEND E-MAIL TO whitmore@stsci.edu AND TELL ME WHETHER YOU ARE DOING THE SHORT OR LONG COURSE. You can then pay at the event. Morning-of-event registration is also ok but you may have to draw your own course if we run out.

DIRECTIONS: From Interstate 81, take Exit 37. At the exit, travel south on Route 233 about 2.5 miles. Turn left onto Pine Road and continue 2.5 miles. The entrance to the center is on the right.

If you are planning to run tomorrow, please send Brad (whitmore@stsci.edu) a note indicating which course so he can have a map pre-drawn for you at the start. You can just show up tomorrow morning (no late fee), but it would save us some time if you know your plans already.
