I too have noticed some mysterious 'slippage' in my orienteering skills lately, not that I was any good to begin with...I'm taking the ridiculously optimistic tack that its just a prelude to a big breakthough. What i mean is that I'm hoping by having to deal with poor eyesight, cobwebs,confusion, lack of intensity, etc, I'll be forced to simplify and focus.

I think he's physically in the best shape I've seen him in for years...thanks to all the snow we had around here this winter, and the 1000+km he XC'd in the past 4 months.
Even if mentally, his brain is starting to shrink...
