I … bigh … voc … whaaa?

How did I not know this was a thing. I absolutely would have considered 6 hours of airplane covid for this. If it happens next year, let me know.

It's been dead for almost 10 years because of snow and politics, but they successfully got it going again (for the 50th anniversary), and everybody involved seemed super into it so hopefully it keeps going.

I almost mentioned it to you last week since of anyone I knew you might actually consider flying out on two days notice, but you seemed to be psyching yourself up for some unpleasantly cold other races, and I figured it was too late to rewax.

Also forgot to mention that the start and at least the first two aid stations had live brass players. Props to the guy who skied 10k in a plumed shako carrying a trombone.

Wow! The last time I had that view I had to battle up that hill in 10 inches of powder with skate skis on! That was on the travel day from the ski-o week MAAAANY years ago!

I would work on my skiing to be able to do that. Fantastic.
Maybe a little distracting though

Nice event! I remember doing that ski with mom and her almost going over the edge for a 3,000' drop -- the barrier stone wall being buried by snow. Also your 4 lap day back when you were living in LA. Of course that is nothing compared to the Yellowstone 24 hour Equinox race...
