For sure. How unfortunate.

Don't know if you already do something like this, but I periodically send all my orienteering/hiking socks, pants and shirts to InsectShield to get them treated with permethrin. It gives me a little peace of mind.

Thanks, Sandy - I haven’t done that but it’s a great idea. I’m going to look into it.

The good news is that it should be an early catch and will hopefully clear up without further issues!

Good news on the prognosis. Lyme is no fun and so hard to deal with the negative symptoms

Early catch is good! Now you just need to watch out for the sun while on doxy. I remember a hot-hot summer week-long O event while taking doxycycline for Lyme and having to wear long loose shirts and still getting some sunburn on my map-holding hand...

Thanks for the warning, JanetT! I'd read that as well -- happily, I'll be done with the doxy a week before nationals, so just need to get there without burning myself to a crisp.
