Clearly Phil was concerned for your welfare and physical training, and was just trying to do what was right for you, in the spirit of all the ads that go "ask your doctor if (blank) is right for you." Next time you are running together and a big climb is approaching, ask Phil if it's true that it takes a man with a poor moral compass to make an exceptional philosopher, and in the ensuing confusion, that will be the time to launch your hill attack!
