Always scattered in various lanes 3 thru 6.

Anyway, you're supposed to go over, not through them. Boy, can't believe I ever could do that!

Bound like a deer over all kinds of deadfall in the forest....then a misplaced hurdle on an otherwise smooth track brings you down? Did that 'gaggle' of kids rush over expressing all kinds of concern? Nice job maintaining elevated sympathy levels for old folks by the younger generations!

Moaning for you. It always seems that the falls that have caused the worst damage for me through the years are ones the have not involved orienteering. (ie: falling down the school steps in 6th grade, breaking my ankle in my driveway.) Have fallen dozens ,if not 100’s, of times in the forest orienteering, including two falls yesterdays. Usually little damage is done from an O fall. Wonder why.

The forest floor is soft.

Maybe the softness accounts for some protection, but also I think the body is ready to react to a fall when orienteering. I tend to roll during my falls in the forest.

That surface was quite abrasive. Not that bad a fall if I had landed on dirt.
