Discussion: Ticks!

Oh, my goodness, yes. I was vetting for the '07 event when I was 7 months pregnant, so not moving fast enough to outrun the ticks. I must have stepped in a nest (is there such a thing?) because I had so many on me, I stopped counting at 40...I blame the blueberry bushes. It freaked me out at first, but then I realized how insane the whole situation was and I'm just not as freaked out any more. Amazingly, not a single one escaped my checks that day, and I got away bite-free.

Can't wait to see you guys. Sorry and frustrated about the monkey wrench thrown into security, but you should feel good about your problem solving. If I were a new company commander, I'd fight to have you in my company.

Ticks in the Virginia woods too. Looks like maybe it’ll be a big tick season for us orienteers. Yuck.
