had very poor luck with the Speedcrosses on wet, rocky terrain. I love them for orienteering and bushwhacking but if there’s a chance the terrain is wet in an AR I chose the Cascadias.
I've worn the Speedcrosses as my primary shoe the past 3-4 years so they are tried and trusted! lately they've been a little pinchy though, must be my feet growing even wider. i used the cascadias before than, but the design change hurt my foot. maybe time to re-check them out!
Zero experience in them for longer races, but as a long time Cascadis fan I now love love the Brooks Calderas. They seem roomier than the cascadias in the toe box and cushier too.
