Discussion: Scary ice

There melt, ponding and flash freeze makes for too many slick bits for me to risk my noggin. I might feel different if I didn’t have to ride over pavement that freezes smoother than dirt to get to the woods trails.

Low- riding ‘bent with studded tires is the only wayI’d do it. Also screws in my bike boots.

Screws in the boots sounds like a good idea. I have them on my pedals, which keeps the boots in place but does nothing when you put a foot on the ground.
