Mr Wonderful:
Any predictions? I don't have any, other than finding it hard to bet against Snowpants ftw, esp. as Benoit seems to still have some long haul foot speed given his recent 3rd at the Barkley Fall Classic, just 20 minutes out of first (coincidentally, also Benoit) after 9 hours of big hills.

Curious what more insightful folks are thinking.

Defending champions Snowpants are being sneaky by posting a photo of last year's team. This year they will have only half a pair of Snowpants. Alex Provost and James Galipeau are returning after recent victories on different teams at Untamed NE and Shenandoah respectively. Their new teammates are Jean-Yves Dionne (who isn't at all new to the Canadian AR scene) and Stefanie Bishop from the U.S. I don't think they've raced together before but they will be contending for the win.

There are half a dozen other contenders though. I have to get back to pre-race work so I'll leave that discussion to others for now!

I'm not going to peg down our own team predictions.... superstitious voodoo happenings and we already had a last minute category change...
But watch out for the others including:

Snowpants (as previously mentioned)
Stoked Oats (lots of experience, team members have won at WT before)
Attack From Above (lot's of experience and Nav should be on)
Gaeten des Bois (Yannick & Jean-Fran├žois are coming off a 2nd place showing at RIG)

Huge congrats to Team Stoked Oats for their amazing, exciting victory! And huge congrats to everyone else for great racing and finishing!

Thank you to the volunteers for the great Facebook coverage of the twists and turns of the race as it played out! Swimming options, a boat ferry crossing, a 13-year old full course finisher, and more!

Great victory by Team Stoked Oats (Harper Forbes, Scott Ford, Shannon Miller and Angus Doughty) and a hard fought battle between 2nd (defending champions Snowpants) and 3rd (Attack from Above).

In addition to all the social media posts, detailed race coverage, leaderboard, GPS tracking, news and maps can be found here.
And here.

Thanks CO and thanks to all our racers, volunteers and spectators!
