The issue for me, was that I incorrectly assumed I didn't have to count buildings, because I was just going to the last building. Only that wasn't true. And when my line was a bit off and I reached a parking lot, buildings, and paths that weren't matching my map, I couldn't grasp where I was or what mistake I had even made. It wasn't until I went all the way to Plymouth Rd that I realized I had to have gone too far because of the large scale and was well off the map. And the only way to recover was to go back to the first parking lot north of the road, which I then happened to be saved by Cooper running the other way, which I surmised might lead me to it.

So yes, always should be aware of controls close to the edge of the map and what backstop people might have if they make a bad error like this.

My incorrect assumption was I wanted the left of the two building when I hit the road/parking after climbing up the hill, but that damned down tree pushed several of us over a bit and made the left house our new parallel right building. Couldn't slow down enough to think, wrong building type, and pass throughs should be mapped so this must be wrong. Plus I wasn't adjusted to the scale and the too-big gap seemed plausible.

I did similar to Steve, saw Plymouth Road and thought, huh? Also, I ought to have looked up urban terrain features because it was a good 10 controls in before I knew what was what. :D I saw no one until I got to 5! So lucky we get these opportunities to run around the campus!

Would it help to change the "white woods" symbol to "open land with scattered trees" (symbol 402) in the area where buildings were?

Mr Wonderful:
402 is interesting, but well below the clues blocking the buildings. Not that I shouldn't have gotten it right anyway!
