Maybe try lubricating that area of your snowshoes with cooking oil spray?
Uh oh, fingers crossed for colder weather this weekend! Interesting idea re the cooking spray. Maybe an XC ski glide wax would work too. (‘Bent has a spray.)
I used a liquid with a sponge applicator on my skis. It works for a while but ran out, so I should have re-applied before my trip home.
I've used liquid XC ski glide wax on snowshoe crampons to keep them from icing up. (It worked.)
