Discussion: Venue

I guess it depends where you go. Some parkrun people are just like orienteers and talk only to people they know whereas I've been to Canning parkrun and had random people come up and talk to me.

Speaking of which, I seem to have forgotten to fill up my Christmas/New Year schedule with parkruns as I've done for the past couple of years.

Some orienteers only talk to people they know. I always go and start a conversation with newcomers at all of our events. Maybe we could do with a few more Helens :)

Cottesloe was a bit further than I wanted to drive this morning. We had two women talk to us prior to the run today - the second was trying to find out how to register. Otherwise I only talked to people I knew but got introduced to a few others.
