Honestly the dark green can be better than medium green. It's thick, but not always pokey, and I'll take thick over pokey any day.
There were some sections where it was a debate between: 50 m of rough and 200 m of not that great....My split show on this shows awful beat increased comfort, so it was a bit of a game of how much you could take.
I think a contributing factor is that this veg is lidar-generated. Briars may not pop a lot of returns to trigger turning white to a shade of green, or bumping up green by any shades. Also, from scouting on Friday, one of our cleaner maps has more briars than I recall - perhaps a banner year for briar production I guess.
Tis a shame, since the underlying terrain would have made for a fantastic experience - I enjoyed the layout and route puzzles other than the pokes. Can we borrow a forest fire?
