Registration is now open for the OINK! 2017 (Orienteer In Northern Kentucky), OCIN's winter Pig with 3 middle distance races in brand new maps in northern Kentucky.

Last week, OCIN launched our re-designed websites. The Event Information page link didn't work for the past few days. Please advise us if you find missing or broken links.

Any idea yet on Red vs. Green course lengths (even if very approximate)?

Course lengths for 2 of the days are posted on the race details page. Green will be about 3.9 both days, and, red about 4.4 and 4.5 on those two days. I expect that Friday will end up coming in with slightly shorter lengths.

Reminder that registration fees will increase at midnight. Also, today is the last day to order practice maps and have them mailed to you before the event.

Lengths for all 3 days (still subject to minor tweaks) are now posted. Friday green is 3.5 and red is 4.2.

Not entered yet? We will hold off charging late fees until Tuesday.

Thanks for the course info, Mike! I registered for Red last week (instead of my usual Green), and now I'm feeling OK about that based on the course lengths you posted. Looking forward to it. :-)

I am unable to open the Event Information Page. I get a 404 error notice.

When in doubt, go to the main page. I backed out of folders until I reached OCIN's main page. Perhaps the recent redesign has broken some links (the Event Information link was in a Results folder...).

Links are working again. Our young webmaster didn't realize how many hard links were broken when he uploaded a new version of the page with a new address.

These html pages will continue to receive late updates regarding the courses and last-minute information. The php page Janet linked will probably not be updated and might disappear to avoid confusion.

To help anyone who might have been caught up by broken links, we have extended Online registration without late fee through midnight Sunday night Eastern time.

Who's registered

A reminder that participants doing the Saturday event at Camp Ernst must sign a separate paper waiver. If you have not yet printed and signed this waiver or mailed it into the registrar, please be sure to print it and bring it with you to check-in at the event. Please note that the Registrar is now in Ohio - do not send anything to the New Jersey address.

Online registration without late fee remains open through midnight Monday night.

One more note that I just added to the event website: Please do not assume that it will be too cold for ticks. After not seeing any for several weeks, I found 3 last week while checking OINK controls.

Start times are posted. We will be flexible (within reason) if any last minute changes are needed.

Splits are uploaded to Attackpoint. Click on event link near the top of this page, or this.

Also, Sunday Blue---Aragorn's Blue result is a second run on Recreational Blue, so it doesn't count toward the results. If it affects AP rankings we might have to delete it or something.

Thanks to everyone who traveled to attend, and special thanks to all the volunteers. We can't do it without both groups.

Special thanks also to edwarddes, who fixed the splits file before it was uploaded to Attackpoint. On Thursday night, I failed to time sync ten of our control boxes (controls 73-82 on Sunday).

Awesome event in the greater OCIN-OLOU-MVOC area as usual, thanks again!! Hats off especially to whoever was in charge of the weather. Was this really December? :)

I had a great time at the OINK meet! Thank you to all the volunteers. :-)
