Discussion: Happy Mutant September Race

HMAR is not usually on my radar as their races are often farther than I want to travel, but if I had known about this one I may have made the trip. Las Vegas, unique 2-day stage race (24 hour and 30-hr stages), and with cash prizes. So I thought I'd help advertise, though I don't know HMAR at all.

I'll be at the September race. I did their Mojave Race last February and their race in Taos last year.

How is their organization? How are the races?

I don't have too much experience with other AR organizations, but I thought the races were well done. The organization is mainly Toby and then the volunteers he can gather for help. His race in Taos was very well done and an awesome course. The 30-hr Mojave race felt like a bit of an after thought (in terms of course selection) in regards to the expedition race he was putting on at the same time, but was still well organized. I'm interested to see how the whole urban AR aspect for stage 2 will turn out.
