101 superb. Sounds like he had a lot of spirit in him until and old age. I am sorry for your loss but celebrate what I'm sure was a fantastic life.
Thanks. If you're interested you can read about some of his fantastic life at

Fantastic tale! Thanks for the link. Gradually working through it and enjoying listening to the different voices as they go. Amazing trip with little blue water experience. And sorry for your loss. If the second half of his life was like this trip, must have been a special person.
Yeah, in some ways I regret not taking the opportunity to be his crew on the voyage, but I was young, in love and happy to stay where I was in the UK at the time. And I don't know if Dad and I would have been ideal company for each other in such a confined space thousands of miles from the safety and comfort of dry land.
Hope your post-surgery is going well George.
Thanks, Tony. A struggle but each day gets a bit better. I give you full marks though for waiting another two months for your op with more catheter after that. I'm struggling with the thing and it's only been 5 days with 5 to go. Then just worry about leaking. Maybe I'll take up more O or swimming then where it doesn't matter if you have an intermittent pee dribble down your leg. Hope it goes well for you.
Tony, sincere condolences. What an innings and a great story!
Good luck with the surgery.
