Nice work out there, Chad et al. I was checking out your route from CP7 to CP8 and I'm at a loss for what you saw out there to correct halfway down, in the bush, and then nailed the lake right on. Spidey senses tingling? The route down the coast was actually pretty good in the end and good fun to run along. That said, we got a LOT more coast running than I had hoped we would given our CP7 gaffe in the first place!

Congrats on another amazing performance and for pulling off the overall win in spite of the penalty. Impressive!

Congrats, Chad! To be honest I didn't feel too nervous when we saw you serving the penalty at TA 2 because I was confident you guys would claw your way back. So cool!

phatty, we definitely didn't see any feature that caused us to correct course, but we thought we had travelled far enough south, and needed to make a decision whether to go more east to try and hit the lake, or west to the shore line to relocate. the gamble worked out on that day. too bad about CP7, you guys had some impressive splits, clearly moving well together. I can see that the point on CP7 would have been quite indiscernible from the shoreline to the south (island likely not visible), whereas it stuck out like a sore thumb for us from the north.

Maybe you guys should start with an automatic 1 hrs penalty next time :)
