We did notice your third place. Nice one!

I think I was 2nd last on the course today - but really enjoyed it. So it is a good thing that enjoyment does not correlate to finish position :-)

There were at least 4 M70s ahead of you (and Richard!) at 2.

Simmo - I think you're referring to my inglorious effort in the Long on Sunday, not the Mids where this thread relates. The less said about my control 2 on Sunday, the better!

You shouldn't be comparing him to M70s anyway because they are in a different class for a totally different award. If anyone wants to recombine the 65s and 70s so that direct comparisons with times can be made, I'd be more than happy to vote for it.

They should have given you a time bonus for rescuing the 'Cruiser :)

No, in the Middle Distance at control 2 you were leading all the M65s, but Mike, Ken B, Phil and myself were all ahead of you at that point.

You didn't mention the Land Rover - did you not pull him out of the bog as well?

tRicky you haven't got the point I am making, which is that I'm against 5 year age classes and trying (successfully at the moment) to demonstrate that the older half of what should be a 10 year age class don't need to be separated.

Isn't that what Ricky said?

Ahh okay so you were the 1% of members aged 65+ at the AGM from two years ago that didn't vote for 5yr classes then ;-) Ironic that the M80 member that pushed the agenda didn't even have his sole M75 compatriot to compare against this time.

He was saving himself to win the ARC Ultravet mixed category!
