Nice work this weekend! The results look good, especially day 2.
thanks, Day 2 just felt so much better than day 1. It was the exact same forest but I changed my mental approach, and it felt completely different and better. I had a few bobbles at the end, related to getting lazy with my planning mostly.
I think the main thing I did differently was to take a much more rough compass approach. I ran where the woods were best, and I just tried to keep very roughly on my bearing. Kinda wish I hadn't blown up control number 10 on day 1, because winning is so much more fun than second place :)
Have you ever won an "A" event before? That would have been pretty cool!
That's an excellent question Swampfox. I don't think that I've ever won an A event while running blue... not even one day of one event. I think I'd need to go look that up, and that would take some effort I think :)
Ahh, then perhaps your day/weekend is coming, and maybe not far off either!
You won the 2nd sprint at the SS finals not a fortnight ago. In fact, didn't you win overall? You also won your leg on the relay.
That is true--the SS was definitely an A meet, and a fine performance even for someone who thinks it is a good thing for the Indians to win. Excellence has its limits.
Uh, hello? Who wouldn't think it was a good thing for the Indians to win? Are you crazy?
