I entered COC at the last possible moment.

(I am in general a procrastinater, but in this case it wasn't entirely my fault. I had a vacation scheduled in early July to visit my sons in Oregon with a stop at the Wyoming meet. But in mid June our landlord sold our rental house with essentially no notice, and the new owner wants us out ASAP. In the end, it worked out for the better; we'd been talking about buying our own house for several years but not really doing anything about it. The eviction notice got us off our duffs, and we were fortunate enough to find the perfect little house within a few weeks--we had been thinking we'd have to move twice, first to a temporary rental then who knew how many weeks / months later into our own home. Instead we have been able to move directly, which mostly happened yesterday.

So I rescheduled my Oregon visit for early August, with the checkpoint along the way being Alberta instead of Wyoming. Which is all fabulous, but in the precious few spare moments I have had to prepare for the trip, I haven't found suitable accommodations--they're all booked or out of my price range or (mostly) both.

So if anyone with a spare bed (or floor space) in their accommodations would like to split the cost with an M65, let me know. You can post here but I might miss it, better would be to send me an email (see my AP profile fir address). Thx.
