I read Peggy's note that you are not sure who could take care of Max (well, unless he runs the Highlander, too). Maybe we can see that the Breton girls can help out. Max is quite mature now. Or maybe Janet Tryson?? ---

Thanks for the supportive chat on Saturday, it helps me to hear you have gone through similar things and pangs and well, there is another life following the hard times.

Daniel, if you'd like to talk some more, feel free to call. I'm really saddened to hear that you're going through that. Just remember, it does get better.

Yes, the Bretton girls might watch Max and Max enjoys their company. Janet watched him last year but I think she may want to run. Thanks for the suggestion.

I will concur...it *does* get better. But it can be really crappy before you get to the better part.

I feel like a body guard who has thrown his body into the way of the bullets. I had a good intention to protect Mario against the mental problems of his mother. I pay for it with an awful lot of pain now.

One of the hardest things is to realize how much good life time is gone, passed, over. A good life which I need to (re-) invent or discover.

I didn't have the child issues which you'll have to work with. Mario strikes me as a good kid who seems to me to be strong enough to come through this eventually. He'll need you a lot and you'll need him a lot but as he goes to college, he's also going to change. That would happen regardless of your current relationship with his mother.

Mairead and the Breton girls will watch Max. I'll attempt the Highlander; Nadim will do the Stumble.
Sorry, I don't have much to offer on this other topic. Though I like to think of myself (and, now, Max) as the silver lining for Nadim. :-)
