Our conversation at the pub lunch with 1L went a similar direction, discussing the Uxbridge area. Maybe we could have a small 2-race MTBO series in southern Ontario. It's a great way to train people up for AR. Also, I had a few questions from mountain bikers yesterday: "Are there any events like this that you just do on foot?" Cool.
Longer term, I'd like Canada to be able to send its first team to the World MTBO Champs. That would require an up-to-date trail map with standard MTBO trail markings but it's not hugely different from a regular O map. I'm not sure there is enough interest within any one club so it might need to be an inter-club project. The team members will likely be the kids like Milla, Curtis, Julianne and others who rode so well yesterday.
