Oh man! So great. What I would do to be a fly on the wall while you guys were racing! Did Popik live up to his role??

Happy for Tommy and John.

Great recap! Quite the interesting pre-race, where did you guys stay ("downtown" PS)?? Parry Sound on a Friday night!

@Hermes... of course Mike lived up to his role... and the guys can't believe how many songs he knows ALL THE WORDS to
@Harps
Microtel... Just off highway

could have written a whole report on trying to do maps with my back to a drunken stranger in my room... dancing and singing rap songs about sex (which was kinda funny) and violence (which was somewhat unnerving) ... especially when Mike would leave the room ?!?!? (presumably to get help)

... 'well officer, she seemed harmless right up until she stuck those scissors in the back of my head'

Probably went on for 15-20 minutes.. at least a sitcom episode, incl commercials :-)

.. and I don't know if she was making up those songs or not... if so, she was actually quite talented... based on my limited hip-hop knowledge

I predicted John would be great in the bush with all the peasant hunting!

PSound on a Friday night?! Is that like a Sudbury Saturday night???

Geez, I really hope you mean Pheasant hunting. He was a bit out of it at our CP, but not *that* loopy.

Are there photos of the hotel incident?

(And I was concerned about the poor peasants on the race course too!)

@ Gally.... she was from Sudbury!!! :-)

No Photo's (that I am aware of)... and John is very comfortable in the bush.. grew up in the wilds of Kapuskasing ... and has a very high tolerance for peasants! :-)

If Hermes goes back and changes that, this thread will be confusing....

From Wikipedia: "Hermes is a god of transitions...."
Yep, she rocked those too...

"quick and cunning, and moves freely between the worlds of the mortal and divine...."

Bash:
As a goddess, one can't expect her to pay much attention to peasants. (If I were good with emojis, I would now include icons of a large bird and a woman wearing a kerchief!)

Drunken lady in your hotel room...hmmm...I wonder if that is when Sandra texted me to ask if I was at WT? She probably wanted me to check in on you boys. :-D

Great job getting it done.
