at Scott Thatcher's route on RG?
He made the same error going to 8.
I hesitated long enough coming up onto the trail from Ctrl 7 to adjust as I was planning to run in the wrong direction... not on purpose :)

Yes, in fact that was why I kept going, I could see Scott right behind me. So I led him astray and then He gave me confidence that of course I was going the right way! Such a fundamental mistake. But I am amazed at how symmetrical my route was! From the GPS trace I even stopped at the equivalent distance from the last control!

So are you suffering from all the scratches from the Briars! I think I didn't go on trails enough!

That is very interesting!
I do think other people in the woods adds to the challenge. I mis-punched Sunday because I followed a track to the wrong control.
Scratches were not as bad as past events at Ridley and Tyler was more forgiving.
