You sure like your crossfit.
I haven't been able to run and it's in between seasons, so why not focus on strength? (Also, as you know, I don't plan my own training.)
What a coincidence - I also don't plan my training!
Ha! That's why I had to hire a coach... No planning = random workouts with no clear purpose. What am I going to do today? A 5 mile easy run sounds good, but doesn't do much to improve fitness.
Actually, I do enjoy Crossfit, though. It's easy to see progress with strength even if you're always starting over after an injury, after AR season, etc. Plus, it's really motivating to do your intense training with others. I've tried to recruit people for group track workouts, but haven't been able to find any takers. After scheduling them and inviting people and showing up weekly with nobody joining me, I gave up.
I so wish we all lived by each other. We could start an AR compound and we all move there together. Any takers? Maybe some where out in Montana would make a good Compound.
I love that idea... I've thought about an AR "Co-Op" before, and then I imagined that it would be like the Real World AR Edition. Probably less drama, though.
We would have fun. And get better training probs. We wouldn't worry about painting, or home repair, or cleaning, or laundry...
