I managed to stay ahead of you this race. I started three minutes ahead of you and you finished just under two minutes behind me, it appears. You got me by a little over a minute total time.

Aha...that's why. :-)
I did take advantage of the view to the start triangle to know I needed to turn right at the road. I saw you turn (while Candice was still struggling with the bed sheet...I mean, map).
They probably should have designed the start a bit differently or given us a different first control.
